Here are some videos that can help resolve some common HuniTip issues when using the Huni Badger.

  1. I cannot unscrew my HuniTip!
Reclaim in the threaded area can sometimes make the HuniTip hard to remove. The trick is to try and warm up the threaded area either by completing a heating cycle or using an external heat source like a hair dryer. Once warm, the reclaim will loosen and the HuniTip should unscrew. Avoid using excessive force to unscrew the HuniTip as that may cause damage and separate the pieces. Watch this video for a visual guide and additional prevention tips.
  2. The HuniTip broke during removal and half of it is still stuck in the device.
So it looks like the reclaim won the battle when unscrewing the HuniTip. The base of the HuniTip separated, leaving wires hanging out, and the other half is still lodged in the Huni Badger. This problem can be easily resolved with some household items. First, use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the area of the stuck base. Once this area is warm and the reclaim loosened, press the broken halves of the HuniTip back together in the hole and try to unscrew. Alternatively, you can use a rubber type material with a stick to help remove the broken stuck HuniTip as shown in the following video.
  3. My HuniTip does not screw in all the way, seems like it doesn't fit.
The Huni Badger is compatible with the high and low temp HunTips, and BlazeTip. These three ceramic tips have always been made in the same size and threading. If one of these three replacement ceramic tips does not fit into your Huni Badger, it is most likely because the small metal top cap of your previous ceramic tip is still stuck in the Huni Badger device. Watch the following video for a visual guidance on how to pop out the metal top cap, check for proper wire positions, and reinstalling it back onto your HuniTip.
